Plaza 10 de Noviembre, Potosi

Plaza 10 de Noviembre is the heart of the historic Potosi in more ways than one. It is situated centrally, with a number of Potosi's colonial-era buildings, the Casa de Moneda and Cathedral all bordering it. The Plaza also plays host to most major civic events throughout the year, from political rallies to the great water-balloon fight that overtakes Potosi on the weekend of Carnaval.

The Cabildo and the Royal Treasury take up two sides of the Plaza, and are some of the best examples of the historic architecture for which Potosi is famous.

All morning the Plaza is buzzing with street hawkers selling salteñas, freshly squeezed fruit juices and other delicious snacks. Combined with the picturesque surroundings, this makes it a great place to sit back and enjoy a sunny afternoon.
