Residencial Felcar juggles a hostel and a hotel well. One half of the premises are filled with airy, comfortable rooms containing big beds and cable TVs. The other side has rooms that are just as comfortable, but smaller, more basic and positioned around a leafy open-air courtyard, usually filled with chatting travellers.

Facilities here are good; free wifi and a substantial breakfast served in an informal cafeteria. However, the best part of the hotel/hostel has to be the views from the rooftop terrace, offering 360 degrees of spectacular colonial city and the mighty Cerro Rico in the distance.

The owners of Residenical Felcar are heavily involved with the city's mining cooperative and give 1% of its profits to the miners.
