Adventure Sport: Tunari National Park by Bike (half day, from Cochabamba)

One of the most important natural sites surrounding the city of Cochabamba is the Tunari National Park to the north of the Cochabamba Valley, immediately adjacent to the cities of Cochabamba, Quillacollo and Sacaba. It has a total area of 300,000 hectares and features numerous mountain lakes and reservoirs that supply the three cities with water. Thanks to its proximity to the city of Cochabamba, the Tunari National Park has an interesting potential for various ecotourism activities.
The national park is very easy to reach from the valley, with connections to the La Paz - Cochabamba - Santa Cruz main road. 30 species of mammals, 188 birds, as well as several species of reptiles and amphibians live in the Tunari National Park. Among many others, the "Titi" (Andean cat), the Condor (Vultur gryphus), Vikuñas, llamas and alpacas, but also Vizcachas and Andean geese are particularly interesting.
