With the purpose to protect and present the diversity of flowers and different types of forest of the Santa Cruz region, the botanical garden was projected and created.
The semi-humid forest of the plains and the Chaqueño forest, are the two big types of forest within the 186 hectares of the botanical garden, and present the natural beauty of the Bolivian East.

Nature trail

On a round tour through the park along the nature trail the visitor can enjoy the beauty of the flora of the region, as well as he can experience the different types of forest soil along the barefoot-trail blindfolded. From the look-out the visitor can see the tree tops and can observe the here living wildlife. A cabin in the middle of the lake serves as animal watching point to see the Capiguaras, Lagartos and variety of migratory birds.
